Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Service and Repair



Mass Airflow Sensor/Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Loosen the air cleaner resonator duct clamp (1).
3. Remove the air cleaner resonator duct.
4. Remove the mass air flow (MAF/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor bolts (2).
5. Remove the MAF/IAT sensor (3) and seal.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the NEW MAF/IAT sensor (3) and seal.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the MAF/IAT sensor bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

3. Install the air cleaner resonator duct.
4. Tighten the air cleaner resonator duct clamp (1).
5. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) .
