Tilt Lever Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the steering column trim covers.
2. Remove the tilt spring.
3. Remove the screw securing the tilt lever.
4. Remove the tilt lever.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the lever in the steering column.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the screw securing the tilt lever.

Tighten the tilt lever mounting screw to 1 N.m (9 lb in).

3. Install the tilt spring.
4. Install the steering column trim covers.
