Hood Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Place protective covering over adjacent body panels.
2. Remove the wiper arms from the vehicle.




3. Open and support the hood.
4. Remove the underhood lamp and the harness from the hood.
5. Remove the air inlet grille panels.
6. Remove the pivot bolts (4) and the nuts (2) from the hinge (1).
7. With an assistant, remove the hood from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. With an assistant, install the hood to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the hinge pivot bolt (4) and nuts (2) to the hinge (1).

Tighten the hood hinge pivot bolts and nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the underhood lamp and the harness to the hood.
4. Install air inlet grille panels.
5. Install the wiper arms to the vehicle.
