Balance Shaft: Description and Operation

PURPOSE The
balance shafts reduce vibration at all engine speeds.
OPERATION The balancer assembly consists of two eccentrically weighted,
balance shafts. The shafts are counter rotated at twice
crankshaft speed by a gear on the crankshaft
