Transmission Control System Relay: Testing and Inspection

TRANSAXLE CONTROL RELAY INSPECTION
1. Remove the transaxle control relay.
2. Check the continuity between the transaxle control relay terminals 4 and 6.
3. Use jumper leads to connect transaxle control relay terminal 4 to the battery (+) terminal and terminal 6 to the battery (-) terminal.
4. Check the continuity between transaxle control relay terminals 2 and 8 while connecting and disconnecting the jumper lead at the battery (-) terminal.

Connected Yes
Disconnected No

5. If there is a defect, replace the transaxle control relay.
