Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Identification of System

Vehicles equipped with the Teves Mark IV (LTCS) antilock brake system can be identified by looking at the brake vacuum booster. Attached to the vacuum booster is a pedal travel sensor (PTS) and a master cylinder with two brake lines connected to the ABS pump/motor assembly. Located below and in front of the master cylinder is the ABS hydraulic unit assembly and the ABS controller.

The Teves Mark IVG system does not have a pedal travel sensor and is not equipped with traction control.
