Rocker Arm Assembly: Service and Repair

1. Remove upper intake manifold as outlined under "Intake Manifold, Replace", then identify and carefully disconnect spark plug wires.
2. Disconnect closed ventilation and evaporation control systems at valve cover, then remove cover and gasket as outlined under "Valve Cover, Replace".
3. Remove four rocker shaft bolts and retainers, then lift out arms and shaft as an assembly.
4. If rocker arms and shaft are to be disassembled, note arm positions for assembly reference.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten rocker shaft bolts to specifications.
