Removal and Installation

1. Remove the front bumper cover. For additional information, refer to Bumper Cover - Front Removal and Replacement.

2. NOTE: There is one spot weld on each end of the front bumper. These spot welds must be drilled out to remove the bumper.

NOTE: Corrosion protection needs to be restored whenever it is necessary to drill or grind through painted surfaces or E-coat, or when bare metal repairs are made. Drill out the spot weld on each end of the bumper.





3. Remove and discard the bumper bolts.
- To install, tighten new bolts to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).

4. Remove the front bumper.

5. NOTE: The spot welds retaining the front bumper to the body rails are not required for installation.

NOTE: Install new front bumper bolts.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
