Removal and Replacement




Flywheel

Removal

1. Remove the clutch. For additional information, refer to Clutch Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate.

2. Remove the 8 bolts and the flywheel.
- Discard the bolts.

Installation

1. NOTE: New flywheel bolts must be installed. They are a torque-to-yield design and cannot be reused.

Position the flywheel and install the 8 new bolts. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in 3 stages.

- Stage 1: Tighten to 13 Nm (115 lb-in).

- Stage 2: Tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

- Stage 3: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
