Driver or Passenger Seat Recliner Actuator Cable Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the driver or passenger seat outer adjuster finish cover. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Outer Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Outer Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement).




2. Use a small flat-bladed tool remove the seat recliner cable from the inner recliner cable clips.
3. Remove the seat recliner cable from the outer recliner mechanism and release lever.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the seat recliner cable mechanism into the outer recliner mechanism.
2. Snap the recliner cable into the inner recliner mechanism.




3. Remove the slack from the recliner cable by turning the threaded end of the cable in the clip.
4. Install the seat cushion cover/pad assembly. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement).
5. Install the seat into the vehicle. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement).
