Braking Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect stop lamp switch connector, then check for continuity between switch terminals.
2. If continuity is present when brake pedal is depressed and not present with pedal at rest, switch is satisfactory.
3. If continuity is not present with the pedal depressed, or is present with the pedal at rest, check the Stop fuse and wiring harness between stop lamp switch and control unit.
