Power Steering Pressure Switch: Description and Operation
PURPOSE
Signals PCME when P/S system pressure increases in conjunction with turning steering wheel. PCME uses sensor input in its calculations for idle speed, fuel injection quantity, and ignition timing.
LOCATION
On power steering pump.
OPERATION
Switch is "ON" (shows continuity) when steering wheel is turned and system pressure increases to provide assist.
