Throttle Position Sensor: Adjustments

Throttle Sensor Adjustment:

1. Warm engine to operating temperature and run at idle. Ensure that throttle is off fast idle cam. Stop engine.
2. Connect SST's, or equivalent, as shown. Turn ignition ON.

Throttle Sensor Specifications:

3. Loosen screws and rotate sensor to set correct closed position voltage.
4. Check for correct open position voltage and close to open voltage. Tighten screws to 140 - 210 in lb (1.6 - 2.4 Nm).
5. Cancel computer malfunction memory by disconnecting negative battery cable and depressing brake pedal for at least 20 seconds. Reconnect battery.
