Neutral Switch (M/T)

Neutral And 1-2 Switches:

PURPOSE
Informs ECU that manual transmission is either in neutral or any other gear. Input is used in ECU control calculations for turbocharger system, fuel injection quantity, idle speed, A/C cut-off, and purge control.

LOCATION
Top of transmission.

OPERATION
This is an "ON/OFF" switch. When transmission is in neutral, switch is "ON" (shows continuity). In any other gear, switch is "OFF" (no continuity).
