Spark Plug: Service and Repair

Spark Plug R&R:

1. Remove and install high tension leads carefully.

CAUTION: When removing spark plug leads, pull on the boot, not the wire.

2. Remove and install plugs with the proper socket.

CAUTION: Make sure socket fits squarely over plug.

3. Apply anti-seize compound or molybdenum-based lubricant to plug threads before installing.
4. Tighten plugs to correct torque.

Torque: 9.5 - 13.0 ft lb (13 - 17 Nm).
