Service Code Guide

Warning Lamp Operation Check:

1. Turn ignition ON. Verify airbag system warning lamp operation.

Warning Lamp Operation Chart:

2. Check connection of airbag module connector. Airbag module and horn switch are attached to the clock spring connector by a double lock type connector.
3. While turning steering wheel, press horn switch and verify that horn sounds at any position.
4. If horn does not sound, remove airbag module. Check continuity of module connector and horn switch connector.
5. Plug in connector and check if horn now sounds.
6. If horn does not sound and connectors are okay, replace horn switch.

NOTE
^ If a malfunction occurs and the warning lamp is burned out, the diagnostic module warning buzzer sounds five cycles of five times each. In this case, check and repair the warning lamp. After repair, malfunctions can be determined by warning lamp flashing pattern.
^ If two or more codes exist simultaneously, the warning lamp indicates the cause of the problem with highest priority.
