Starter Motor: Service and Repair
1.
Disarm radio coded theft protection as outlined in
Technician Safety Information.
2.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
3.
Raise and support vehicle.
4.
Disconnect
starter motor electrical connectors.
5.
Remove
starter motor bolts and starter motor from vehicle.
6.
Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a.
Torque
starter motor attaching bolts to 19 - 26 ft.lb.
