Air charging pressure performance malfunction

DETECTION CONDITION
•  The PCM monitors the air charging pressure. If the air charging pressure is not within the specification for the PCM control target, the PCM determines that there is a malfunction in the air charging system.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Guide blade actuator vacuum hose misconnection
•  Turbocharger mechanical malfunction
•  Guide blade actuator mechanical malfunction
•  VBC solenoid valve mechanical malfunction
•  PCM malfunction

VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED
•  Has FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Record FREEZE FRAME DATA on repair order, then go to the next step.

VERIFY RELATED SERVICE INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
•  Verify related service information availability.
•  Is any related service information available?
Yes
Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available service information.
•  If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT VACUUM HOSE CONNECTION
•  Is the guide blade actuator vacuum hose connecting accurately?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Reconnect vacuum hose accurately, then go to Step 7.

INSPECT VBC SOLENOID VALVE
•  Inspect the VBC solenoid valve.
•  Is the VBC solenoid valve?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the VBC solenoid valve, then go to Step 7.

INSPECT GUIDE BLADE ACTUATOR
•  Inspect the guide blade actuator.
•  Is the guide blade actuator normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the turbocharger, then go to Step 7.

INSPECT TURBOCHARGER
•  Inspect the turbocharger.
•  Is the turbocharger normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the turbocharger, then go to the next step.

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P2263 COMPLETED
•  Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
•  Turn the engine switch to ON position (engine off).
•  Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS.
•  Start the engine.
•  Is the same DTC present?
Yes
Replace the PCM, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.
8
VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
•  Perform the “AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE”.
•  Is any DTC present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
Troubleshooting completed.
