DTC B1E1E[49] Starter Output Relay Internal Circuit Failure (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System]))

1. Wireless access module system check

Refer to "71.Security and Locks Control 10S.Troubleshooting(Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System])) Diagnostic system check-Wireless Access Module (Hi-version[Passive Entry and Start System])".

2. Inspection for open circuit and short circuit in starter relay control circuit

1) Inspect the control circuit between the wireless access module (pin 7 of B14) and the starter relay (pin 5 of R2 BLOWER CUT) for the following. Is the result normal?

Refer to "LHD Power Door Locks (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version))" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Refer to "RHD Power Door Locks (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version))" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Yes

=>Go to Wireless access module harness connector inspection.

No

Repair the circuit as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

3. Wireless access module harness connector inspection

1) Inspect for poor connections at the wireless access module harness connector (pin 7 of B14). Is the connection status normal?

Refer to "LHD Power Door Locks (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version))" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Yes

=>Go to Wireless access module replacement.

No

Repair the connections as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

4. Wireless access module replacement

Refer to "9.Body, Cab, Accessories 9Z.Body, Cab, Accessories Electrical Control wireless access module removal".

Procedure completion

5. Repair verification

1) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch.

3) Start the engine.

4) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool.
