1) Check whether any aftermarket electronic equipment is installed. Is any aftermarket electronic equipment installed?

No
=>Go to Inspection for short circuit in driver floor side airbag sensor (+) circuit.
1) Connect the scan tool.
2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 15 seconds or more.
3) Turn OFF the power of all aftermarket electronic equipment.
4) Perform a test drive.
5) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool for DTC B0097[09] being set as a current failure. Is a DTC set?
Yes
=>Go to Inspection for short circuit in driver floor side airbag sensor (+) circuit.
No
Explain to the customer that aftermarket electronic equipment may be the cause of the defect and remove the aftermarket electronic equipment.
1) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 15 seconds or more.
2) Disconnect the SRS control unit harness connector (R6) and driver floor side airbag sensor harness connector (R14).
3) Inspect the driver floor side airbag sensor (+) circuit between the SRS control unit (pin 12 of R6) and the driver floor side airbag sensor (pin 2 of R14) for a short to another circuit. Is the result normal?

1) Inspect the driver floor side airbag sensor (-) circuit between the SRS control unit (pin 20 of R6) and the driver floor side airbag sensor (pin 1 of R14) for a short to another circuit. Is the result normal?

5) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?
Yes
=>Go to SRS control unit replacement.
No
