DTC P2773 (Flash Code 75) Four Wheel Drive (4WD) Low Switch Circuit Low Voltage (AWR6B45)

1. DTC P2773 description

If the 4WD Low signal is input to the TCM from TCCM via the CAN communication circuit, it switches to the 4L mode. In addition, the TCM calculates the transfer gear ratio based on the vehicle speed signal received from the ECM via the CAN communication circuit. If the TCM detects that the transfer gear ratio and the 4WD Low signal from the TCCM do not match, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC P2773

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.
  • The battery voltage is 9.0 to 16.0 V.
  • The engine speed is 550 rpm or more.
  • The output speed is 1,500 rpm or more.
  • The vehicle is running in the D or R range.
  • At the transfer 4L mode
  • DTCs P0707, P0708, P0720, P0722, U0073, and U0100 are not set.

Refer to "55.Transmission Control 5A.Troubleshooting(AWR6B45) DTC U0100 (Flash Code 67) Lost Communication With ECM".

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The TCM detects that the transfer gear ratio calculated by the TCM and 4WD Low signal from the TCCM do not match for 10 seconds or more.

3. Action taken when DTC P2773 sets

  • The TCM flashes the check trans warning light. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type A.

Refer to "55.Transmission Control 5A.Troubleshooting(AWR6B45) DTC type definitions".

  • The TCM performs control assuming that the 4L switch signal from the TCCM is the actual transfer gear ratio.
  • The TCM inhibits the self-learning control.

4. Condition for clearing DTC P2773

  • Refer to Condition for clearing the MIL, check trans warning light/DTC - Type A or Type B.

Refer to "55.Transmission Control 5A.Troubleshooting(AWR6B45) DTC type definitions".
