POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) DRIVE UNIT INSPECTION

LH

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Tonneau cover (with tonneau cover) (See TONNEAU COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(2)  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Bass box (with Bose®) (See BASS-BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)  Sub-trunk (See SUB-TRUNK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(5)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(6)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(7)  Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(8)  C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(9)  Assist handle (rear) (See ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(10)  Power liftgate (PLG) drive unit (See POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) DRIVE UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground to power liftgate (PLG) drive unit terminals G and H, and then inspect the front power window motor operation.

•  If the power liftgate (PLG) drive unit does not operate as indicated in the table, replace it. (See POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) DRIVE UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(8)  C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(9)  Assist handle (rear) (See ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(10)  Power liftgate (PLG) drive unit (See POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) DRIVE UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
