C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Tonneau cover (With tonneau cover) (See TONNEAU COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Bass-box (With Bose^®) (See BASS-BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Sub-trunk (See SUB-TRUNK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the rear speaker connector.

4.  Pull the C-pillar trim in the order of arrows (1), (2), and (3) shown in the figure and detach the clips and pin.

5.  Pull the C-pillar trim in the direction of the arrow and remove it while detaching the guide and clip.

Note

•   When replacing the C-pillar trim, remove the rear speaker. (With Bose^®) (See REAR SPEAKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

•   When replacing the C-pillar trim, remove the rear speaker grille. (With Bose^®) (See SPEAKER GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See C-Pillar Trim Installation Note.)

C-Pillar Trim Installation Note

1.  Move the C-pillar trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and insert clip A into the clip B receptacle.

2.  Verify that the clip and pin installation positions and their installation holes are aligned.
