VENTILATOR GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Side Ventilator Grille

Driver-side

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Lower decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Upper decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Driver-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Upper column cover (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Meter hood No.1 (See METER HOOD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Driver-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Driver-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(8)  Lower decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(9)  Bonnet release lever (See BONNET RELEASE LEVER AND RELEASE CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(10)  Fuel-filler lid opener lever (See FUEL-FILLER LID OPENER AND LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(11)  Driver-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the screws.

4.  Insert the remover tool into the positions shown in the figure, move it in the order of arrows (1) and (2), and detach the hooks.

5.  Remove the side ventilator grille.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Passenger-side

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Lower decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Upper decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Passenger-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Passenger-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the screws.

4.  Insert the remover tool into the positions shown in the figure, move it in the order of arrows (1) and (2), and detach the hooks.

5.  Remove the side ventilator grille.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Center Ventilator Grille

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the lower decoration panel. (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the upper decoration panel. (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, move it in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and while detaching the hook from the upper decoration panel, slide the center ventilator grille in the direction of arrow (2) to remove it.

5.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Rear Ventilator Grille (With rear vent duct)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the console panel. (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the screws.

4.  Remove the rear vent duct in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.

5.  Remove the screws.

6.  Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver in the positions shown in the figure, move it in the order of arrows (1) and (2) and detach the hooks.

7.  Move the rear ventilator grille in the order of arrows (1) and (2), and remove it while detaching the hooks.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
