• Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
• Disconnect connector C-64.
• Connect the negative battery terminal.
• Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
• Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K.
• Is the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K the same?

Yes
|
Go to Step 7.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.

INSPECT BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-64 AND CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
• Switch the ignition off (LOCK).
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
• Inspect for continuity between climate control unit terminals 1K and 1M (with full-auto air conditioner).
• Inspect for continuity between climate control unit terminals Q and S (with manual air conditioner).
• Is there continuity?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.

No
|
Go to Step 4.

INSPECT CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
• Disconnect the climate control unit connector.
• Inspect for continuity between climate control unit terminals 1K and 1M (wiring harness side). (with full-auto air conditioner)
• Inspect for continuity between climate control unit terminals Q and S (wiring harness side). (with manual air conditioner)
• Is there continuity?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the climate control unit and connector C-64 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
|
No
|
Replace the climate control unit because there is a short between circuits inside the climate control unit.
|

INSPECT BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-64 AND PARKING ASSIST UNIT (ULTRASONIC) FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
• Inspect for continuity between parking assist unit (ultrasonic) terminals AA and AB.
• Is there continuity?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.

No
|
Go to Step 6.

INSPECT PARKING ASSIST UNIT (ULTRASONIC) FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
• Disconnect the parking assist unit (ultrasonic) connector.
• Inspect for continuity between parking assist unit (ultrasonic) terminals AA and AB. (wiring harness side)
• Is there continuity?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the parking assist unit (ultrasonic) and connector C-64 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
|
No
|
Replace the parking assist unit (ultrasonic) because there is a short between circuits inside the parking assist unit (ultrasonic).
|

INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
• Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
• Inspect for continuity between instrument cluster terminals C and E (wiring harness side).
• Is there continuity?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the instrument cluster and connector C-64 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
|
No
|
Replace the instrument cluster because there is a short between circuits in the instrument cluster.
|

INSPECT BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-64 AND CONNECTOR C-63 FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
• Switch the ignition off (LOCK).
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
• Disconnect connector C-63.
• Connect connector C-64.
• Connect the negative battery terminal.
• Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
• Measure the voltage at instrument cluster terminals C and E.
• Is the voltage at instrument cluster terminals C and E the same?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-64 and connector C-63 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.

INSPECT BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-63 AND DLC-2 FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
• Switch the ignition off (LOCK).
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
• Inspect for continuity between DLC-2 terminals L and K.
• Is there continuity?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-63 and DLC-2 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.

INSPECT BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-63 AND CONNECTOR C-14 FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
• Disconnect connector C-14.
• Connect connector C-63.
• Connect the negative battery terminal.
• Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
• Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K.
• Is the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K the same?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-63 and connector C-14 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.

INSPECT BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-14 AND CONNECTOR C-71 FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
• Switch the ignition off (LOCK).
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
• Disconnect connector C-71.
• Connect connector C-14.
• Connect the negative battery terminal.
• Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
• Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K.
• Is the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K the same?

Yes

Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-14 and connector C-71 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
|
No

Go to the next step.

• Switch the ignition off (LOCK).

• Inspect for continuity between 360° view monitor control module terminals AE and AF.
• Is there continuity?

Yes

INSPECT 360° VIEW MONITOR CONTROL MODULE FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
• Disconnect the 360° view monitor control module connector.
• Inspect for continuity between 360° view monitor control module terminals AE and AF (wiring harness side).
• Is there continuity?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between 360° view monitor control module and connector C-71 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
|
No
|
Replace the 360° view monitor control module because there is a short between circuits inside the 360° view monitor control module.

INSPECT BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-71 AND REAR BODY CONTROL MODULE (RBCM) FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
• Disconnect the rear body control module (RBCM) connector.
• Connect connector C-71.
• Connect the negative battery terminal.
• Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
• Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K.
• Is the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K the same?

Yes

Repair or replace the wiring harness between the rear body control module (RBCM) and connector C-71 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.

No

Go to the next step.

• Inspect the continuity between blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) terminals C and D.
• Is there continuity?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

• Disconnect connector C-39.
• Inspect the continuity between blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) terminals C and D.
• Is there continuity?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Repair or replace the wiring harness between the rear body control module (RBCM) and connector C-39 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.

INSPECT BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) CONTROL MODULE (LH) FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
• Disconnect the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) connector.
• Inspect for continuity between blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) terminals C and D (wiring harness side).
• Is there continuity?

Yes

Repair or replace the wiring harness between the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) and connector C-39 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.

No
|
Replace the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) because there is a short between circuits in the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH).

• Disconnect the rear mount camera connector.
• Inspect for continuity between rear mount camera terminals G and H (wiring harness side).
• Is there continuity?

Yes

Repair or replace the wiring harness between the rear mount camera and connector C-36 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
|
No
|
Replace the rear mount camera because there is a short between circuits in the rear mount camera.
