BUCKLE SWITCH INSPECTION

Front

1.  Switch the ignition off.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the front buckle. (See FRONT BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch terminals using a tester.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the front buckle.

Second-row

1.  Switch the ignition off.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the second-row seat. (See SECOND-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the clip. (passenger's side)

5.  Remove the second-row seat side cover. (passenger's side) (See SECOND-ROW SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Remove the second-row buckle. (See SECOND-ROW BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

7.  Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch terminals using a tester.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the second-row buckle. (See SECOND-ROW BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Third-row

1.  Switch the ignition off.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the third-row seat cushion. (See THIRD-ROW SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the trunk board No.1. (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Remove the third-row buckle. (See THIRD-ROW BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch terminals using a tester.
