HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT INSPECTION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts.

(1)  Liftgate upper trim (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear spoiler (See REAR SPOILER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Side spoiler (See SIDE SPOILER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  High-mount brake light (See HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the high-mount brake light short-cord from the high-mount brake light. (See HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Apply battery positive voltage to high-mount brake light terminal A, and connect the ground to terminal B.

5.  Verify that the high-mount brake light turns on normally.

•  If the high-mount brake light does not turn on, replace the high-mount brake light. (See HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
