REAR SPEAKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Note
•  The rear speaker can be removed without having to remove the trunk side trim from the vehicle.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  To prevent scratches or damage, apply protective tape to the position shown in the figure.

3.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(2)  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Trunk side pocket (See TRUNK SIDE POCKET REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the cover.

5.  Remove the screw.

6.  Remove the fastener.

7.  Open the cargo net hook cover and remove the bolt.

8.  Remove the cargo net hooks.

9.  Peel back the seaming welt and weatherstrip.

10.  Move the trunk side trim in the order of arrows (1), (2), shown in the figure to detach the body panel from the hooks.

11.  Move the trunk side trim in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5) shown in the figure while detaching the clips and hooks.

12.  Move the trunk side trim in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure, pull away the trunk side trim enough to secure a space for a hand to be inserted between body panel and trunk side trim.

13.  Disconnect the connector.

14.  Remove the screws.

15.  Remove the rear speaker.

16.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
