REAR ACCESSORY SOCKET REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  To prevent scratches or damage, apply protective tape to the position shown in the figure.

3.  Remove the following parts.

(1)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Trunk side pocket(RH) (See TRUNK SIDE POCKET REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the cover.

5.  Remove the screw.

6.  Remove the fastener.

7.  Open the cargo net hook cover and remove the bolt.

8.  Remove the cargo net hooks.

9.  Peel back the seaming welt and weatherstrip.

10.  Move the trunk side trim (RH) in the order of arrows (1), (2), shown in the figure to detach the body panel from the hooks.

11.  Move the trunk side trim (RH) in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5) shown in the figure while detaching the clips and hooks.

12.  Move the trunk side trim (RH) in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure, pull away the trunk side trim (RH) enough to secure a space for a hand to be inserted between body panel and trunk side trim (RH).

13.  Disconnect the connector.

14.  Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the service hole in the position shown in the figure.

15.  While pressing the cap tab in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, press the rear accessory socket in the direction of the arrow (2) to detach the cap tab from the rear accessory socket.

16.  Detach all the tabs of the cap from the rear accessory socket and remove the rear accessory socket from the cap.

17.  While pressing the cap tabs in the direction of the arrows (1) shown in the figure, press the cap in the direction of the arrow (2) to detach the cap tabs from the trunk side trim (RH).

18.  Remove the cap from the trunk side trim (RH).

19.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
