FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Perform the front door glass preparation. (See FRONT DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the following parts.

(1)  Inner garnish (See INNER GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Power window main switch component (to remove from driver's side) (See POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Power window subswitch component (to remove from passenger's side) (See POWER WINDOW SUBSWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Front door trim (See FRONT DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Front inner handle (See FRONT INNER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Door-electrical supply unit (See DOOR-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Front door glass (See FRONT DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Disconnect the connectors.

5.  Remove service hole cover No.3.

6.  Remove the bolts.

7.  Remove nuts (1).

8.  Remove nuts (2).

9.  Insert your hand through the service hole cover No.1 installation hole and remove the front power window motor from the front door panel.

Caution

•  When removing the front power window regulator, it may interfere with the front door panel. Such interference can damage the front door panel coating and the front power window regulator. Remove the front power window regulator, making sure that it does not interfere with the front door panel.

10.  Remove the front power window regulator from the service hole cover No.2 installation hole.

Note

•  The front power window regulator installation work can be facilitated by performing the following procedure.

1.  Temporarily tighten the nuts shown in the figure.

2.  Insert the front power window regulator from the service hole cover No.2 installation hole.

3.  Hook the temporarily tightened nuts to the front door panel.

11.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Front Power Window Regulator Installation Note.)

12.  Perform the power window system initialization. (See POWER WINDOW SYSTEM INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE.)
