EXTRACTOR CHAMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the trunk end trim. (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Partially peel back the trunk covering. (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Partially peel back the partition board. (See PARTITION BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear combination light (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Rear splash shield (See REAR SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Rear bumper stay (See REAR BUMPER STAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Rear bumper retainer No.1 (See REAR BUMPER RETAINER No.1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Rear bumper (See REAR BUMPER REMOVAL.) (See REAR BUMPER INSTALLATION.)

6.  While pressing the extractor chamber tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, move the extractor chamber in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the extractor chamber from the body.

7.  Remove the extractor chamber.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
