CONDENSER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Collect the refrigerant. (See REFRIGERANT CHARGING.)

3.  Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [MZ-CD 1.6].)

4.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Front bumper (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(2)  Seal board upper (See SEAL BOARD UPPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Cooling fan component (See COOLING FAN MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].)
(4)  Shroud upper plate (See SHROUD PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].)
(5)  Radiator (See RADIATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].)

Caution
•  If moisture or foreign material enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise will occur. Always immediately plug all open fittings after removing any refrigeration cycle parts to keep moisture or foreign material out of the cycle.

5.  Remove in the order indicated in the table. Do not allow compressor oil to spill.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

7.  Perform the refrigerant system performance test. (See REFRIGERANT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE TEST.)

Condenser Installation Note

1.   After replacing the condenser, add compressor oil to the refrigeration cycle.

15 ml {15 cc, 0.51 fl oz}
