POSSIBLE CAUSE				•  Malfunction in wiring harness (CAN line) between keyless control module and PCM •  Keyless control module malfunction •  PCM malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY DTCs •  Perform the immobilizer system DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM)].) •  Is the following DTC present? ―  Keyless control module: U0001:88 ―  PCM: U0073:00	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See FOREWORD [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (L.H.D.)].) (See FOREWORD [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (R.H.D.)].)
		No	Go to the next step.
2	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY THAT MALFUNCTIONING PART IS KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE •  Clear DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM)].) •  Perform the immobilizer system DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM)].) •  Is the following DTC present? ―  Keyless control module: U0100:87 ―  PCM: P1260:00	Yes	Replace the keyless control module and program the immobilizer system-related parts. (See KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].) (See IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-RELATED PARTS PROGRAMMING [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].) Go to the next step.
		No	Go to Step 5.
3	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY THAT MALFUNCTIONING PART IS PCM •  Clear DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM)].) •  Perform the immobilizer system DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM)].) •  Is the following DTC present? ―  Instrument cluster: U0100:87 ―  PCM: P1260:00	Yes	Replace the PCM and program the immobilizer system-related parts. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.3, MZR 1.5].) (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].) (See IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-RELATED PARTS PROGRAMMING [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].) Go to the next step.
		No	Go to Step 5.
4	VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED •  Clear DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM)].) •  Perform the immobilizer system DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM)].) •  Is the following DTC present? ―  Keyless control module: U0100:87 ―  PCM: P1260:00	Yes	Inspect the DTC P1260:00. (See DTC P1260:00 [MZR 1.3, MZR 1.5].) (See MZ-CD 1.6.)
		No	Go to the next step.
5	VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT •  Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM)].)
		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
