PTC (POSITIVE TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENT) HEATER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Shift lever knob (MTX) (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Selector lever knob (ATX) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Console (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Rear heat duct (1) (See REAR HEAT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the three connectors.

4.  Remove the PTC heater connector holder and wiring harness clip.

5.  Remove the heater case. (See A/C UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Remove the PTC heater from heater case.

7.  Install in the reverse order of the removal.
