DETECTION CONDITION
|
• AFS control module detects the swivel actuator (RH) signal malfunction when the ignition is ON.
|
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• Poor installation of discharge headlight connector
• Swivel actuator (RH) malfunction
• AFS control module malfunction

VERIFY THE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT CONNECTOR INSTALLATION CONDITION
• Switch the ignition to off.
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Remove the headlight cover.
• Is the discharge headlight connector installed in the correct position?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Install the discharge headlight connector in the correct position, then go to the Step 3.

|
PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY THAT MALFUNCTIONING PART IS SWIVEL ACTUATOR (RH)
• Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Clear the DTC from the AFS control module using the M-MDS.
• Perform the AFS control module DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
• Is the same DTC present?

Yes
|
Replace the front combination light (RH), then go to the next step.
|
No
|
Go to Step 4.
|

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
• Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Clear the DTC from the AFS control module using the M-MDS.
• Perform the AFS control module DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
• Is the same DTC present?

Yes
|
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
• If the malfunction recurs, replace the AFS control module.
Go to the next step.

No
|
Go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT
• Are any DTCs present?
|
Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
|
No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
