BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [R.H.D.]

Caution

•  When replacing the BCM, the configuration procedure must be performed before removing the BCM. Replacing the BCM without performing the configuration procedure will result in system malfunction.

1.  Perform the BCM configuration when replacing it. (See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) CONFIGURATION.)

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.3 DISI Turbo].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0].)

3.  Remove the dashboard under cover. (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the wiring harness clip at the position shown in the figure.

5.  Remove the wiring harness clip at the position shown in the figure.

6.  Disconnect the connectors shown in the figure.

7.  Remove the nuts shown in the figure.

8.  Remove the BCM.

9.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
