Engine stalls when driving at slow speeds or stopping

DESCRIPTION
•  Engine stalls when brake pedal is depressed while driving at low speed or stopping.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Malfunction is in the engine control system (e.g. fuel injection control, electronic throttle control system). Otherwise, the malfunction is in the control valve body, shift solenoid E or TCC.

Is the engine control system normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace any malfunctioning parts according to the inspection result.

Perform the symptom troubleshooting “NO.5 ENGINE STALLS-AFTER START/AT IDLE”.
Is the engine control system normal?
Yes
Repeat the basic inspection and repair or replace any malfunctioning parts according to the inspection result.
No
Repair or replace any malfunctioning parts according to the inspection result.

•  Verify the test results.
―  If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms.
―  If the malfunction remains, inspect the related Service Information and perform repair or diagnosis.
•  If the vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting is completed.
•  If the vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace the TCM.
