HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the trunk lid trim. (See TRUNK LID TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Disconnect the trunk lid opener switch connector and high-mount brake light connector, then remove the nuts shown in the figure.

4. While pressing the tabs shown in the figure, pull the high-mount brake light outward and remove it.

5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the liftgate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Remove the liftgate side trim. (See LIFTGATE SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4. Remove the liftgate lower trim. (See LIFTGATE LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5. Disconnect the trunk lid opener switch connector and high-mount brake light connector, then remove the nuts shown in the figure.

6. While pressing the tabs shown in the figure, pull the high-mount brake light outward and remove it.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the liftgate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4. Release all the tabs shown in the figure.

5. Push up the high-mount brake light and remove it.

6. Disconnect the connector.

7. Remove the high-mount brake light.

8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
