METER HOOD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Meter Hood No.1

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Meter hood cover (See METER HOOD COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Audio panel (See AUDIO PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Center panel (See CENTER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Upper column cover (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Driver-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the screw.

4.  Move the meter hood No.1 in the order of arrows (1), (2), and (3) shown in the figure, and detach clips.

5.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Note

•  When replacing the meter hood No.1, remove the side ventilator grille. (See VENTILATOR GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Meter Hood No.2

1.  To prevent scratches or damage, apply protective tape to the position shown in the figure.

2.  Insert the remover tool into the positions shown in the figure, move it in the order of arrows (1), (2), and (3) and detach the clips.

3.  Hold the shaded areas shown in the figure, move the meter hood No.2 in the direction of the arrows shown in the figure and remove it while detaching the clip. (with active driving display)

4.  Hold the shaded areas shown in the figure, move the meter hood No.2 in the order of arrows (1) and (2) and remove it while detaching the clip. (without active driving display)

5.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
