HAZARD WARNING SWITCH INSPECTION

Caution
•  The hazard warning switch is not reuseable since it is broken when disconnected from the hazard warning switch knob. Do not remove the hazard warning switch except when replacing it.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Shift lever knob (MT) (See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [P66M-D].)
(2)  Shift knob (AT) (See SELECTOR LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Console panel (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)  Ashtray panel (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(5)  Lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(6)  Center panel unit (See CENTER PANEL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(7)  Speaker grille (See SPEAKER GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(8)  Center panel (See CENTER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Verify that the continuity between the hazard warning switch terminals is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the hazard warning switch.
