Floor Carpet Removal and Installation

WARNING:

Failure to take proper precautions related to the air bag system when performing the procedures described below could cause personal injury due to accidental activation of the air bag system.

Refer to Air Bag Warning Air Bag Warning
, and make sure that you understand all instructions before starting the service work.

Removal

1) Remove front seat and rear seat referring to Removal and Installation Front Seat Removal and Installation
and Removal and Installation Rear Seat Removal and Installation.
2) Remove seat belt lower anchor bolts (front and rear).
3) Remove center pillar inner lower trims (3), side sill scuffs (1) (front and rear), front pillar lower trims (2), back panel trim (4), and rear trims (5).
4) Remove rear side air bag (if equipped) (6). Refer to Removal and Installation Rear Side-Air Bag (Inflator) Module Removal and Installation:Advanced Air Bag.
5) Remove rear quarter lower front trims (7).
















6) Remove console box referring to Diagrams Console Box Components.
7) Remove floor carpet.

Installation

Reverse removal sequence to install front floor carpet, noting the following instruction.

- For tightening torque of rear seat mounting bolt, refer to Components Rear Seat Components.
- For tightening torque of front seat mounting bolt, refer to Components Front Seat Components.
- For tightening torque of seat belt lower anchor bolt, refer to Components Front Seat Belt Components
and Components Rear Seat Belt Components.
