Poor Fuel Economy

SYMPTOM DESCRIPTION:

Fuel economy, as measured by an actual road test, is noticeably lower than expected. Also, economy is noticeably lower than it was on this vehicle at one time.


POSSIBLE CAUSE ACTION


Voltage Output - Check for proper secondary output voltage with spark tester.


Spark plugs - See, SPARK PLUG DIAGNOSIS


Ignition Timing - Check distributor indexing.


PCM - Check for trouble codes and proper ignition grounds.
