Fig. 18 Tension Strut From Control Arm Removal:

1. Remove lower control arm as outlined under "Lower Control Arm, Replace."
2. Separate tension strut from lower control arm.
3. Install replacement tension strut into lower control arm. Position tension strut with word Front stamped in strut positioned away from control arm.
4. Install lower control arm and tension strut into vehicle.
5. Install washer and new nut on tension strut.
6. Install tire and wheel assembly.
7. Tighten lower control arm pivot bushing to cradle bracket attaching bolt with full weight of vehicle on suspension.
