Dashboard/Steering Hanger Beam Disassembly/Reassembly

Special Tools Required

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014

NOTE:

- Have an assistant help you when disassembling and assembling the dashboard.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard, the body, or the related parts.
- Take care not to bend the brackets.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. Remove the dashboard/steering hanger beam Dashboard/Steering Hanger Beam Removal/Installation.

2. Remove these items from the dashboard:

- Tweeter grilles, both sides
- Driver's middle panel Dashboard Drivers Middle Panel Removal/Installation
- Driver's vent panel Service and Repair
- Instrument visor Instrument Visor Removal/Installation
- Gauge control module Service and Repair
- Driver's footwell light connector Footwell Light Replacement
- Center panel Dashboard Center Panel Removal/Installation
- Front center speaker grille
- Shift lever:
- 5-speed A/T model Shift Lever Removal (5-Speed A/T)
- 6-speed A/T model Shift Lever Removal (6-Speed A/T)

- Audio display unit (Without navigation and without USB adapter) Audio Display Unit Removal/Installation
- Audio display-USB adapter control unit (Without navigation and with USB adapter) Audio Display-USB Adapter Control Unit Removal/Installation
- Navigation display unit (With navigation) Navigation Display Unit Removal/Installation
- GPS antenna (With navigation) Service and Repair
- Audio unit (Without navigation) Audio Unit Removal/Installation
- Audio-navigation unit (With navigation) Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation
- Front passenger's airbag Front Passenger's Airbag Replacement

3. Detach the harness clips (A).

4. Release the glove box light bulb socket (A), and detach the harness clips (B). Detach the harness clips (C) (for some models).






5. Remove the bolts.






6. Assemble the dashboard and the steering hanger beam in the reverse order of disassembly, and make sure the dashboard wire harness is not pinched before tightening the bolts.
