DTC C1106[A2] Battery Voltage Low (Radar Sensor (Left))

Note

  • A deteriorated battery may cause this DTC to be set.

1. Radar sensor system check

Refer to "75.Driver Assistance System 10W.Troubleshooting(Radar Sensor (Left)) Diagnostic system check-radar sensor system".

2. Ignition voltage check

1) Observe the Power Supply Voltage on the scan tool. Is the Power Supply Voltage less than or equal to the specified value?

Value: 9 V

Yes

=>Go to Charging system inspection.

No

Go to Intermittent conditions of radar sensor system.

Refer to "233.Driver Assistance System 46D.Symptom(Radar Sensor) intermittent conditions of radar sensor system".

3. Charging system inspection

Refer to "1.Engine 1J.Electrical(4JJ3 with DPD) generator inspection".

Refer to "1.Engine 1J.Electrical(4JJ3 without DPD) generator inspection".

1) Inspect the charging system. Is the result normal?

Yes

=>Go to Radar sensor (Left) power supply voltage inspection.

No

Repair as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

4. Radar sensor (Left) power supply voltage inspection

1) Turn OFF the ignition switch.

2) Disconnect the radar sensor (Left) harness connector (R41).

3) Turn ON the ignition switch.

4) Measure the voltage between the ignition power supply circuit and the ground circuit (pins 1 and 6 of R41) of the radar sensor (Left) harness connector with a DMM. Is the voltage normal?

Refer to "RHD Radar Sensor" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Value: 10 to 16 V

Yes

=>Go to Radar sensor (Left) ground circuit inspection.

No

Repair the open circuit or high resistance in the ignition power supply circuit between the ELEC(IG2) 10A fuse and the radar sensor (Left) (pin 1 of R41).

=>Go to Repair verification.

5. Radar sensor (Left) ground circuit inspection

1) Inspect the ground circuit between the radar sensor (Left) (pin 6 of R41) and the radar sensor (Left) ground for high resistance. Is the result normal?

Refer to "RHD Radar Sensor" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Yes

=>Go to Radar sensor (Left) harness connector inspection.

No

Repair the circuit as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

6. Radar sensor (Left) harness connector inspection

1) Inspect for poor connections at the radar sensor (Left) harness connector (pins 1 and 6 of R41). Is the result normal?

Refer to "RHD Radar Sensor" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Yes

=>Go to Radar sensor (Left) replacement.

No

Repair the connections as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

7. Radar sensor (Left) replacement

Note

  • Perform programming after replacing the radar sensor (Left).

=>Go to Repair verification.

8. Repair verification

1) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.

3) Start the engine and drive at 10 km/h {6 mph} or more.

4) Apply an electric load by turning ON the headlights, air conditioner, etc.

5) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool.
