DETECTION CONDITION
|
• With the following conditions met, the AdBlue® level exceeds 151 mm {5.94 in}for a continuous 3 s
MONITORING CONDITIONS
• All of the following conditions are met.
Diagnostic support note
• This is an intermittent monitor (Other).
• The check engine light does not illuminate.
• FREEZE FRAME DATA is not available.
• Snapshot data is available.
• DTC is stored in the PCM memory.

FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
|
• The instrument cluster warns the driver with the following functions.
|
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• AdBlue® more than specification added
• Urea tempereture sensor malfunction
• Urea quality sensor (quality sensor temperature) malfunction
• Dosing control unit malfunction
• PCM malfunction

RECORD VEHICLE STATUS AT TIME OF DTC DETECTION TO UTILIZE WITH REPEATABILITY VERIFICATION
• Record the Snapshot data on the repair order.

VERIFY RELATED SERVICE INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
• Verify related Service Bulletins and/or on-line repair information availability.
• Is any related Service Information available?

Yes
|
Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information.
• If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.

|
VERIFY DOSING CONTROL UNIT RELATED DTC
• Retrieve dosing control unit DTCs using the M-MDS.
• Are any DTCs present?
|
Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
VERIFY AdBlue® AMOUNT IN UREA TANK
• Access the RRDC_AG_RMN PID using the M-MDS.
• Is the RRDC_AG_RMN PID value 90% or less?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Drain the AdBlue® until it reaches 90% or less.
Then go to Step7.
|

|
INSPECT UREA TEMPERATURE SENSOR
• Inspect the urea tempereture sensor.
• Is there any malfunction?
|
Yes
|
Replace the urea tempereture sensor, then go to Step 7.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
INSPECT UREA QUALITY SENSOR (QUALITY SENSOR TEMPERATURE)
• Inspect the urea quality sensor (quality sensor temperature).
• Is there any malfunction?

Yes
|
Replace the urea quality sensor, then go to the next step.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
• Always reconnect all disconnected connectors.
• Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS.
• Maintain the following conditions for 20 s or more.
• Verify the instrument cluster display content.
• Are SCR system related warnings displayed in the instrument cluster?

Yes

Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
• If the malfunction recurs, replace the PCM.
Go to the next step.

No
|
Go to the next step.

|
VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
• Perform the “AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE”.
• Are any DTCs present?

Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
|
No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
