REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Switch the main power ON (READY off).

2. Release the electric parking brake.

3. Switch the main power OFF while pressing the electric parking brake switch.

4. Remove the following parts:

(1) Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2) Trunk side upper trim (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3) Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4) Front trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5) Rear trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6) Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5. Remove the following parts: (RH side, with Bose^® vehicle)

(1) Bass-box (See BASS-BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6. Partially peel back the trunk side trim to a position where the rear ABS wheel speed sensor connector can be disconnected. (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

7. Remove the trunk side insulator. (See TRUNK SIDE INSULATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

8. Remove the clip from the body.

9. Disconnect the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor connector.

10. Press the grommet tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure and detach them from the vehicle body.

11. Press the grommet in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure and press out the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor toward the outside of the vehicle.

12. Remove the wheel and tire. (See WHEEL AND TIRE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

13. Remove the rear splash shield. (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

14. Remove the rear mudguard. (See MUDGUARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

15. Remove in the order shown in the figure.

16. Install in the reverse order of removal.

17. After installation, verify that there is no twisting in the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor.

1. Pull aside the mudguard and remove the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor.
