Power supply (low input)

Detection condition
•  The parking lock actuator detects that the parking lock actuator power supply circuit voltage is less than 8 V.
Fail-safe
Refer to the DTC table and fail-safe table according to the DTC. (See DTC TABLE [PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR].)
Possible cause
•  The following modules store DTCs.
―  PCM
―  DC-DC converter
•  Lead-acid battery malfunction
•  DC-DC converter malfunction
•  Parking lock actuator connector or terminal malfunction
•  Short to ground or open circuit in parking lock actuator power supply circuit
•  Parking lock actuator malfunction

INSPECT PCM FOR MALFUNCTION
•  Perform the DTC inspection for the PCM.
•  Is a DTC displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT LEAD-ACID BATTERY FOR MALFUNCTION
•  Inspect the applicable part.
•  Is the part normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part and perform the repair completion verification.

DC-DC CONVERTER MALFUNCTION VERIFICATION
•  Inspect the applicable part.
•  Is the part normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part and perform the repair completion verification.

INSPECT PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR CONNECTOR FOR MALFUNCTION
•  Inspect the applicable connector and terminal.
•  Are the connector and terminal normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part and perform the repair completion verification.

INSPECT PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND AND OPEN CIRCUIT
•  Inspect the applicable circuit for a short to ground and open circuit.
•  Is the circuit normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.
Repair completion verification 1
VERIFY IF VEHICLE IS REPAIRED
•  Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
•  Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.
•  Perform the DTC inspection for the parking lock actuator.
•  Is the same DTC displayed?
Yes
Refer to the CAN (controller area network) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1 again.
•  If the malfunction is not resolved, replace the parking lock actuator, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 2
VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs ARE DISPLAYED
•  Perform the DTC inspection.
•  Is a DTC displayed?
Yes
Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
