Description
|
• The vehicle moves even though the vehicle is stopped on a slope and then the selector lever is shifted to the P position.
• The vehicle does not accelerate from a standstill even though the selector lever is shifted to a position other than P and then the accelerator pedal is depressed.

• Parking lock actuator connector or terminal malfunction
• Short to ground or open circuit in parking lock actuator power supply circuit

• When implementing the following work, was the parking lock actuator initial learning performed?

|
Go to the next step.

No
|
Implement the initial learning for the parking lock actuator and perform the repair completion verification.
|

|
VERIFY PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR DTCs
• Perform the DTC inspection for the parking lock actuator.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is a DTC displayed?
|
Yes
|
Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
|

No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
INSPECT PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR CONNECTOR FOR MALFUNCTION
• Inspect the applicable connector and terminal.
(See CONNECTOR INSPECTION.)
• Are the connector and terminal normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|

No
|
Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.
|

INSPECT PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND AND OPEN CIRCUIT
• Inspect the applicable circuit for a short to ground and open circuit.
(See CIRCUIT INSPECTION.)
• Is the circuit normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|

No
|
Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.

|
INSPECT EV TRANSAXLE INTERNALLY FOR MALFUNCTION
• Perform the following procedure.
• Can the manual shaft be rotated by hand and can the parking lock mechanism be operated?

Yes
|
Replace the parking lot actuator and perform the repair completion verification.
|
|||
No
|
Replace the EV transaxle and perform the repair completion verification
|
|||||

|
VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS CORRECTED
• Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
• Has the malfunction symptom been eliminated?

Yes
|
Complete the symptom troubleshooting.
Explain repair contents to customer.
|

No
|
Refer to the CAN (controller area network) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
