Detection condition

•  The dash-electrical supply unit detects an open circuit in the circuit of the temperature sensor of refrigerant line for electric compressor outlet.

Fail-safe

•  Fixes the temperature sensor of refrigerant line for electric compressor outlet input value at 150 °C {302 °F} and performs control.

Possible cause

•  Malfunction of connector or terminal of temperature sensor of refrigerant line for electric compressor outlet

•  Dash-electrical supply unit connector or terminal malfunction

•  Open circuit of signal circuit of temperature sensor of refrigerant line for electric compressor outlet

•  Open circuit of ground circuit of temperature sensor of refrigerant line for electric compressor outlet

•  Malfunction of temperature sensor of refrigerant line for electric compressor outlet

•  Dash-electrical supply unit malfunction

•  Inspect the applicable circuit for an open circuit.

•  Is the circuit normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.

•  Inspect the applicable part.

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Repair completion verification 1

VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED

•  Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.

•  Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.

•  Perform the DTC inspection for dash-electrical supply unit.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)

•  Is the same DTC displayed?

Yes

Refer to the CAN (controller area network) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.

If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.

•  If the malfunction is not resolved, replace the dash-electrical supply unit, then go to the next step.

Go to the next step.
